The Capstone Modelling Engine
At the core of NxGN Capstone is a modelling engine that provides both horizontal integration and vertical aggregation. Horizontal integration connects every discipline — production, financial, HR, safety, environmental, and engineering — at every site into a single unified model. Vertical aggregation rolls values up through the organisational hierarchy, recalculating formulas at each node rather than simply averaging them.
Capstone also supports virtual hierarchies — the same underlying data can be viewed through multiple organisational perspectives (physical structure, commodity structure, regional structure) without duplicating data. This gives different stakeholders exactly the view they need without creating data silos.
Conversational Intelligence with MCP
NxGN Capstone integrates with the Model Context Protocol (MCP) — an open standard created by Anthropic that is supported by Claude, ChatGPT, Copilot, and any LLM. This turns Capstone from a reporting platform into a conversational intelligence layer.
